Edinburgh has world class means to get from the airport to Edinburgh City and vice versa. The most common ones are by bus and taxis. As Hypothesis is about hydrogen technologies, we would highly advise you to consider Hypothesis 2013 as a very sustainable event and would kindly suggest that you support the sustainability agenda through sharing a car or taxi or make use of the city's successful Shuttle Bus service.
By Bus or Coach
The Airlink Bus number 100 operates a frequent bus service (every 10 minutes at peak times) between Edinburgh Airport and the city centre, with designated stops en route and free wifi for on the go people. Bus services start at 04.45 and run until 00.22 at night. The journey time is about 20 minutes with tickets costing £3.00 single and £5.00 return.
A tip: We would highly advise you to buy a return at the airport so that you save £1.00 and do not need to queue for getting a ticket on your way back.
The N22 bus also departs from STAND 19 and runs every half an hour through the night until the Airlink service starts again. For more information about these services visit www.flybybus.com
There is an excellent taxi service direct from the airport to the city. You will find official airport taxis at the taxi rank outside the terminal building (follow the signs within the airport). It costs approximately £15 to £20 to get a taxi from the airport to the city centre and the journey takes 20 minutes depending on traffic flow and time of day.
